NCOA: National Change of Address

Target Direct Mailing Services offers to its customers FREE NCOA service.

That’s right, FREE National Change of Address service on every job we mail for you. Target Direct has a proven history of providing free database hygiene services when you use us for your lettershop needs. We have CASS Certified for free for years. When DPV and LACS became available, we included those services for free to our clients. Now, months ahead of the USPS-mandated requirement for Move Update services, Target Direct offers FREE NCOA (18-month) service.

According to the US Postal Service, “over 40 million Americans change their address annually, which creates formidable obstacles in maintaining a high-quality mailing list.” Our NCOA service compares your customer file to 60 million records (or 18 months) of permanent address changes. In approximately 84% of these cases, there exists a valid forwarding address. NCOA corrects addresses prior to mailing.

	Reduces undeliverable mail by providing the most current address information for matches made to the NCOALink file
	Prevents re-mailings after address corrections are received because the address correction is applied prior to the mailing
	Reduces mailer costs by reducing the number of undeliverable mailpieces by using most current address information
	Provides the opportunity for faster product/service marketing through accurate mail delivery

This service reduces Undeliverable As Addressed (UAA) mail and saves mailers millions of dollars in lost postage (not to mention millions of pounds of paper that would otherwise go straight into the trash).

That’s not all. We send our customers back a report showing who has moved and what their new addresses are; and we do not charge any extra for that report.

LACS: LOCATABLE ADDRESS CONVERSION SYSTEM

The LACSLink product provides mailers an automated method of obtaining new addresses when:

	a 911 emergency system has been implemented to convert rural-style Addresses to city-style addresses.
	a street address has been renamed or renumbered.

For example, your file may have a customer’s old style address of RR 1 Box 100, Anytown, AR 72799 and the LACS system will return the new address if it has been updated to a city style address to 12916 County Road 482, Anytown, AR 72799-8675

DPV: Delivery Point Validation

The Postal Service™ DPV® database is essentially a "yes/no" table for checking the validity of any known individual house, apartment, Post Office™ box, rural box, mail drop, or commercial address that receives mail.

CASS: Coding Accuracy Support System

This process corrects and standardizes addresses as well as appends important postal information such as carrier route code, LOT (Line of Travel) code, information required for a full barcode such as the ZIP+4 code and delivery point.

Deduplication

Need to merge multiple files? We can do it. Then pull out all of the duplicates so you only mail each recipient one time. This process is called Merge/Purge and we can help you.

More often than not, your information is in multiple files. And there is duplicate information between those files. And the files have extremely different record layouts.
